This new double LP captures lush live renditions from across their catalog, including the Polaris Prize-nominated ‘The Besnard Lakes Are the Dark Horse’ and ‘Are the Roaring Night’, as well as tracks from ‘Until in Excess, Imperceptible UFO’, and ‘A Coliseum Complex Museum. Anchored by Jace Lasek and Olga Goreas playing in their hometown of Montreal, ‘Are A Live’ finds the band at their best, flowing from light, Julee Cruise-esque crooning, to crushingly loud wall-of-sound psychedelic space rock.
